1969 - 1970 Primary School teacher training at Wagga Wagga Teachers College
1971 - 1974 Teaching at Murrumburrah and Wagga Wagga
1975 - 1977 Working holiday in Britain and Europe with future husband, Kevin.
1978 - 1981 Teaching with Catholic Education, Canberra.
Married November 1981.
1982 - 1984 Townsville. I resigned from teaching in December 1982.
Our first child, Shea, was born in March 1983.
1985 Brisbane. Our second child, Sarah, was born in June 1985.
1986 - Aug. 1988 Gladstone. Still home with the children.
1988 - 2011 Bundaberg.
Resumed work in 1990 with occasional supply teaching days.
Worked (1991 - 1992) as Immigration Education teacher, supporting primary and secondary students as well as adult classes.
Back in the classroom in 1993 - 2004.
Trained then taught in the Reading Recovery Program 2005 -2007.
Part time teaching since then.
End of 2011 Retirement.
My husband works as a school guidance counsellor. Our son Shea (28) lives in Melbourne. Daughter Sarah is married and living in Brisbane.
With the children we enjoyed trips to Malaysia, New Zealand and India. In recent years we have returned to India as well as Britain, France, Turkey, Greece and Syria. Our next trip in 2012 will include Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary.
I hope all goes well with the reunion, sorry I can't be there. I will be in Canberra sometime in 2012 and hope to catch up with some people then.
